Foreign bodies
Four cubes of clear glass, like clean water, incorporate foreign materials.
These intrusions are fascinating, even beautiful, but how much can the glass stand before being destroyed by the foreign bodies?
The blocks hold together, but some cracks are already showing.
In the same way, the Tāmaki Estuary is not a pristine environment;
centuries of human activities have already left their marks, and as we acknowledge the fragility of the ecosystem, we try to find a balance for a sustainable interaction.
Recycled bottle glass, rusty hardware, bronze casting
by-products.
